Customers decide in their familiar online environment

The blind window

Plans and bundles go live before customers have decided.

IT, billing and sales are committed early. Which plans, bundles and add-ons customers actually sign up for often only shows in the market. A test with existing or new customers shows it beforehand.

Already testing in-house?

Test the decision before billing is set up.

A/B tests in your shop optimise what is already live. The expensive decisions come earlier: a new plan grid, a different price model, a partner bundle. Horizon tests them outside your shop, so no plan has to exist in the billing system and no live customer is affected.

Use cases

Where telcos decide with Horizon.

Wherever plans and add-ons tie up IT, billing and sales before customers sign up.

01

Plan grid

A new tier, unlimited or a speed tier instead of data volume: how does choice across the grid shift?

02

Device and plan

One monthly price or separate device instalments: which model brings more sign-ups?

03

Add-ons and bundles

Streaming, TV, smart home or device protection: which bundle gets booked, by new or existing customers?

04

New revenue products

Satellite messaging, 5G home internet, home energy or security: is demand there, and at which price?

05

Prices and terms

Price change, contract term or switching bonus: what do new customers accept?

06

Value proposition

Network quality, price guarantee or flexibility: which promise leads to a sign-up, not just a click?

How a test works

Around four weeks from question to decision.

Your effort: a briefing, plan and product details, and four short meetings. The Horizon team takes care of the rest.

Week 1

Question and variants

You bring the question from your department, we sharpen it and define up to six variants.

Week 2

Ads and offer pages

Horizon builds realistic ads and offer pages, with your brand or a brand developed specifically for the test.

Week 3

7 days in field

Your target group sees the offer in their familiar online environment and decides. You follow everything live.

Week 4

Result and data analysis

Purchase or sign-up intent per variant, statistically validated, as a data analysis for your decision.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

How do I test a new mobile or broadband plan before launch?

The plan appears on a realistic offer page, and variants differ in, for example, data volume, monthly price, contract term or a bonus. Visitors from your target group arrive through ads. Sign-up intent is measured per variant, and nothing is signed.

telco

Which contract term do customers prefer?

Two or more models, for example 24 months with a device discount against monthly cancellation, run under the same conditions. Measured sign-up intent shows which model is chosen and by how much.

telco

We already run tests in-house. What does Horizon add?

Capacity and a common standard. Horizon runs tests for every team on one contract, with the same method and metrics, so more decisions get tested and the results can be compared.

telco

Can we test bundles with partner products?

Yes. Bundles with streaming, TV, devices or insurance are shown as a realistic offer before the partnership or the integration is in place.

telco

Does the test have to run under our brand?

No. You test with your brand or with a brand developed specifically for the test. Horizon provides the legal notice and privacy policy.

telco

How does this fit with our market research?

Surveys show what people say and why. For an investment, what counts is what they do when price and alternatives come into play. That is what Horizon measures, before launch and without selling anything.
